I've seen the subject of a non-tech board pop up lots of times, so I have a suggestion (maybe down to morbid curiosity)

It seems that 99% of the posts asking for a non-tech board come from new-ish members. People who were not around when the non-tech board was (like me)

To save endless posts and arguments, how about a board which cannot be added to, with a few old posts from the original one, acting as examples of just "what went wrong" and therefore, "what would inevitably go wrong" with another attempt? Or maybe not even a board, just a small sub-section like on the Homepage?

Yea, after reading this message, I think it must be the curiosity getting through. What do you guys think?

Hmm not a bad idea, except I think all those messages were wiped out. It's really too bad that some guys were just too childish for a non tech board and ruined it for the rest of us. I was around when there was one, and for some reason, the whole site got shut down after the non tech board got outta hand.

 

um it went very wrong and it won't come back in any abriged form. Trust me. For your non-tech needs there are plenty of places to go like www.LS1.com ,www.Camaroz28.com, www.nethirdgen.org, www.corral.net ..........................

 

Fair enough. To be quite honest, I'm not really interested in having a non-tech board. I mean, the rest of the internet is good for that sort of thing!
From what I can gather from lots of different comments, things went pretty pear-shaped...was it all bashing and name-calling, locking and banning then?
