but what do you have to do to be banned???

do you have to start x amout of closed threads, or started a flame war this many times or, how many flaming posts?

or is there some other sort of quantifiable amount of something that constitutes banning?

i guess this all stems from one of my classes i am taking this semester, so i am putting some of the info towards something.

later

to my knowledge, banning is solely to be done at Dirk or Brad's discretion. i'm not sure if any of the moderators have that power (i don't).

basically, i think it is done if you continually post off-topic items, or directly attack someone on the boards.

also, if you post enough junk to where you disrupt the normal flow of a post repeatedly, i think that is a good chance of getting banned.

it should say in the agreement you read before you signed up regarding the rules of banning.

Moderators can ban, and it's at their discretion whether or not the user should be banned. Moderators have the ability to just ban, not put people on probabtion or unregister their name.

Go to a profile then > Administrative options then go to >user options >ban. THen you enter the user's name. I havent done it yet but that's what I was told how to do it.

not trying to ban anyone here, but i tried to enter the administrative options on my own username, and it stops me cold.

i don't think we have the power to ban.

iroc....

tried again... no dice.

i think certain mods who are some of the more heavily trafficked boards have the banning ability.

let's be realistic here.... my board doesn't exactly get the amount of traffic compared to say the appearance board, or the street racing board.

Yeah you guys are both mods for Regional boards, maybe that has something to do with it ?
I know Drew can ban, he's done it many times and NJSpeeder just banned a member a couple days ago.
