TGO Business Cards....any legal issues..?

I was toying around w/ the idea of creating some TGO business cards to pass to people around town to refer them to the boards and the group. Now, since I will be creating these for my own personal use, and will also supply it online for those who want to D/L it and make their own, but WILL NOT be selling them for profit, are there any legal issues to using TGO's name/addy on the card??

I think it'd be a great way to spread the word about the group and possibly add some members that can add their knowledge.

So if one of the moderators could please get in touch w/ me via email, I would greatly appreciate it. (Sorry I don't know who to ask specifically....thus the reason for the public post)

Kind of a cool idea in a way.

Whenever I see a nice 3rd gen, I always wish I had a paper or something so I could let them know about thirdgen.org.

Something to say it's a free forum to get information, like repair info and aftermarket performance part information. More members means more knowledge.

Same thing here...and i think it'd be more professional to hand them a nice business card w/ logo and text than a scrap piece of paper scrawled in your own handwriting.

I'm playing around w/ a few ideas right now, but would also appreciate it if anybody has some spare time and would help design a few logos or graphics to put on it. The main problem is that to keep the cards fairly cheap, you need to keep the color count and complexity to a minimum.

Here's a sample of the business cards I have from the car club I was in back when I had my Avenger...

It has their logo which is pretty simple in itself, and just a basic rundown of all thats on the website.

Does anybody remember what happened to all those T-Shirt ideas... I remember someone having drawn a simple 'outline' of both a bird and camaro (see the above pic) and I think that would be a good basis for the card, along w/ perhaps the pontiac and chevy symbol, TGO's addy, and a few short keywords about the group

Its a good idea yes, but ThirdGen.Org is copyrighted. There can't be anything with its name on it without the permission of Dirk.
