im just wondering how would i go about becoming a mod

 

when the boards came back up after being shut down i had the general tech board. said i always read the drive train and suspension boards and i had them. i never ask and no one ask me.

 

By respecting the rules of the board and one of the great admins will choose you if they need someone

Your not missing much, you have to put up with alot of crap and be called **** Mod and what not.

You really have to spend time on the boards, doing a WHOLE lot of reading. I enjoy it because thirdgen.org is my home away from home.

Well I asked about a month ago and I just got promoted to the notorious 'Mod' about 15 min ago to the most popular board.

 

I never asked until I read this. I saw that josh had asked, and I thought "Hmm.. I'm on here a lot, I'll ask too". 10 minutes later josh told me I was a mod too. But I guess they had it planned before I even asked.

joshp not sure how you figure whats the most popular board but if you use number of post you aren't the moderator of the most popular board

 

ede is right. The Tech/General Engine board has all others beat. I bet that board is pretty hard to moderate. Glad I have the Body and Interior board.

Second most by posts and third most by threads.

But the majority of the time I see more members browsing the Appr/Detail board more than the Tech/Engine.

I tried the email route a while back (twice I think) because of the infamous problems on the A & D board. Never got replies, oh well.

But good for you guys, enjoy the responsibility. If there's ever an admin that reads this stuff, I'm available as well. Spend too much of my time here as it is. Happy Thirdgening!

I suppose they receive alot of mail on that subject, guess I got lost in the pile. No matter, the board's still as much fun as it ever was - 2 1/2 years after I joined.

 

some mods are freakin **** mods o im going to lock ur thread cuz i dont like u or just to **** u off. 5s did it to me a few times just to **** me off but then we both grew up kinda
