If you use FireFox as a web browser, there is a downloadable/installable plugin for FireFox that allows you to check the spelling of any input box (such as this reply box that you type in).

It is independent of the website, so you can use it anywhere you type inside of an input box, making it a very handy feature if you happen to use FireFox instead of Internet Explorer.

There's also ieSpell for IE. Safari has a built-in spellcheck, but who the heck uses that?

Just take 2 seconds to re-read and edit your post. It is simple english. If you are not sure just type it in and word document and cut and paste it into here. Adding spell check to TGO would surely slow down the server.

i still think a plugin is the best option. No copy/paste required, and Word doesn't come standard in Windows.

FireFox is free. The spell check plugin for FireFox is also free. You're likely to find other plugins that you find useful as well. There are bugs with FireFox, but IE isn't perfect either.

The spell check works in FireFox for input boxes, such as this Reply box. Simply type your message, then right-click in the message box, like as shown below.

Not sure about the plugin for IE. Never tried that one.
