March '06 TGO BBS Move: Issues List
- All attachements are missing from historical threads
- The ability to post an attachement throws a SQL error and fails.
- Avatars seem to be messed up somehow
- Time zone settings are off by one hour (ahead).

The time zone issue was due to vB's settings still set to the old server's Mountain time zone. Should be OK now.
The other issues aren't near as simple and will require some work by the new server admin, as he is the only one with direct access at this time. I'm sure he has his hands full at the moment, too.
Jason|Xoxide has indicated that he has fixed the old attachments.

I dont know if it's just me, but occasionally posting will come up with an SQL error, whether I have an attachment or not.

This sorta qualifies as an "issue" but it's really more of an annoyance.
I posted on the board this afternoon while at work, and after I posted, my phone rang. I was on the call for about 5 minutes, but when I came back to the computer and wanted to edit a mis-spelling in my post, I received this:
The administrator has specified that you can only edit messages for 5 minutes after you have posted. This limit has expired, so you must contact the administrator to make alterations on your message.
Any chance that we can remove this rule?

Well - looking around it seems JT and Jason|Xoxide are now administrators. Are there any other new admins? Have any old ones left? Any changes to the moderator/admin structure?
I'm just curious. I know IROCZtwentyGR8 (spelling?) was a great admin.

I'm not certain, since Jason is the administrator for the server that TGO is sitting on, and therefore he has more knowledge, especially since he made the change, but I would believe it is temporary until we're able to resolve the server load issues. I found that editing posts (a few days ago) was causing a server load issue, bringing the forums offline. This was a known vB issue that I thought was resolved. I'm not sure.
Right now, having the forums online and working is the priority, at the cost of some features. Of course, the search engine is going to need to be resolved soon, we understand that.

Iroc is still a forum Administrator, he is not Dirk. Jason is an Administrator for the new server that TGO is on. As long as TGO remains the same path that it has been (which we were told it should), that is what matters the most, in my opinion.

WOW! I have been waiting for TGO to go to VB for a long time and here it is. I blocked all Google adsense ads along time ago so I dont even see them so no big deal for me, but to the new admins I would move it to the bottom so that your real sponsors get the top position. Your CTR will still be high at the bottom of the page.
As far as TGO being sold... I wouldnt know, however Dirk still shows up on the whois so all is well there. One thing I would say to the guys handling the new server stuff is too put TGO back on to a dedicated IP. Not sure what other sites you have on there, but give TGO its own.
As far as the future its lookin' bright for TGO (just dump the adsense at the top)

I'm still here as are the same Mods to keep TGO what it always was meant to be. You guys have to give us time though as many things are still being worked out. Some changes won't be staying, some will, etc.Dirk is the original owner of TGO that has now sold it to a company. He's still on as Admin for now.
