Not sure if this was asked before. I know the rules and reasons regarding the off topic board idea, but what about a non-3rd gen car help forum? I know the people on this board do or have owned other cars!

Sure let's open up TGO to a "EVERY OTHER CAR FORUM" I think there are plenty of forums on the web so I vote keep TGO strictly THIRD GEN

Not the whole forum

Just one thread or whatever, just like the 2.8 forum or TPI.

Lots of other car-specific forums have them without issues.

I mean, I highly doubt everyone here has only knowledge of 3rd gens. And I'm sure many of us have other cars as well!

I hear what you are saying and I still disagree, I may have a Honda, you may have a Ford, Joe Schmoe might have a Kia and where does that get us??? There are Honda, Ford and Kia boards for each specific model on the web

but in a way it also keeps everything in house. I have a rx7 and a honda and I admit I try to sneak some of my questions in here because I like the people here and would rather listen to someone here then go over to some crappy honda board where the people there wouldn't give me much help anyway. Again though I like the community here, I like the people and the stuff that goes on. That is part of the reason I have been a member here for the last 5 years even though I have not ever owned a thirdgen. I would rather ask my questions here then the rx7 or honda site cause usually I get better help here then I do on those other sites.

I also know that us two are not the only ones who would like to see a misc car forum for street kills at least if not general car tech not thirdgen related. this place is great but honestly I think it could be a lot better if we kept our members in site rather then saying sorry we don't awnt to help you go find your own stuff for your OTHER car somewhere else.

it's a whole lot better then a off topic place that some people have wanted and as long as it can be kept tech specific and follow the rules of the site other then the non-thirdgen related part I think it would be cool. I'm sure there are a few people here who would be willing too moderate it as well
