My first post
I looked but didnt really find a General BS Category, so this seemed to be the most appropriate venue for my first post. A category like that might be my first suggestion, now that I think of it.
I think that I was registered here a few years ago, but got away from it for a while as my life has been occupied with a number of other things.
Anyway, my car is a 1989 Pontiac Trans Am, Gunmetal Gray with silver trim. I have only seen one other car like it since I got mine in 1994. Originally it had the 5.0 TBI engine, but when the head gasket went out on it at 174000 miles I replaced it with a 350 block from 1970 from a Camaro SS topped with Corvette LT1 heads, Edelbrock Performer intake, and carb. Its MUCH stronger now and has run great, although my mileage has dropped SIGNIFICANTLY. She has been a major part of my life for the last 12 years.
I live in Belgium and unfortunately I was not able to bring her with me here to Europe. So, she stays at home in Mississippi. My wife has agreed to allow me to put a supercharger on it when we get back to the US. My eventual goal is to replace the rear end and have it making about 500rwhp. I dont need that much power, but it sure is fun. I know I will probably have to replace the tranny in there somewhere if I reach that much power.
So, thanks for having the forum and I look forward to getting to know everyone. I have been with the Georgia F Body Association (GAFBA.COM) since about 2002 and the F Body Europe (FbodyEurope.org) site since 2002 as well.

Ok, I got it. Thanks for sending me that way. I havent had a lot of time to explore everything. Many sites I have participated in do have a general section and it has worked IMHO.
I do understand though...often it gets turned into flaming people or other things that are way off topic.
Thanks again,
Patrick
