Re: Copy and paste?

Most likely that is going to be an issue with Firefox and not thirdgen.org. Are you able to do this on other boards with Firefox? Try using ctrl + c and ctrl + v to copy and paste. I've heard of this issue at work a few times.

Re: Copy and paste?

I am a member on many other forums and they all support FF and I can copy and paste links but this forum when I copy a link and right click in a post there is no paste option? This is definitely a forum issue! This is what I get when I try to paste. Whoops forum does not support BMP.image files either? I think this is a great forum and has alot of cool sections and a wealth of information...just need to fine tune it alittle bit!

PS: ctrl + c and ctrl + v does not work it is just a key board short cut that is the same as right clicking to copy and paste.

Who ever the admin is for this forum if you are having trouble setting up this feature with vBulletin let me know and I can help.

I use FireFox and there is no such issue. As IROCThe5.7L suggested, it sounds like it's a local issue on your end.

By the way, you can always post a jpg or gif image. BMP is usually unnecessarily large and not as common on the web as jpg files.

I tried posting a BMP file that was a screenshot of the no Paste option when I right click, I am to lazy to convert it to JPG...anyway what version of FF are you using? I am using fasterfox 2.0.0 maybe that has something to do with it? But I still have no problems with copy paste option on any of the other 10 forums I am a member of and I also run a tech website powered by vBulletin and had to enable the right click feature for firefox.

Re: Copy and paste?

All 1.5 and 2.x FireFox versions I've used have worked perfectly fine with this:

Re: Copy and paste?

Mine dont? I try to copy google and when I tried to paste it in this thread this is what I get? I think this has to do with me using Fasterfoz 2.0.0 because if nobody else is having this problem that has to be the reason...is anyone using Fasterfox? Like I said I can copy and paste all day long with internet explorer. There is some kind of conflict going on...all other features on this site works fine with my browser just cant copy and paste?

Re: Copy and paste?

I see your account setting is using the 'Enhanced (WYSIWYG) Editor' toolbar. I'm not.

It looks like it was a "bug" with previous versions of FireFox. There was a bug tracker through Mozilla on this issue. Not only did it appear in vBulletin, but in Google's gmail as well. Perhaps it is due to your outdated version. Maybe why it works OK on other boards is because you're not using the same 'Enhanced (WYSIWYG) Editor' toolbar on those websites.
