How long does it take before you can post something or reply? Thank you. I was looking in the classifieds and I can't post anything.

Okay, Thank you. LOL, Don't you think that's a bit steep for a newbie of a 3rd Gen car? Have to be a member of 30 days or make 30 posts but your limited on where you can post. So, how can you catch up to 30.

 

It's been that way since November of last year. A few express displeasure, which is normal, but overall, it has been OK. We allowed ample amount of feedback, and reviewed it, before taking action. And actually it has been tweaked. It used to be minimum of 30 posts. Now it is either that, or a minimum of 30 days of being a registered member. You may not be able to post, but you can still contact members. You will find the majority accept PMs. And, at some point, if you are a serious buyer or seller, the transaction has to go non-public at some point anyway.

And there is no catching up on 30 posts. We don't have a Lounge/Offtopic forum, and have no plans for such. We want quality, not quantity. It has been primary what has made TGO a success for all of these years.

 

But , I just saw a member that only had like 12 posts and he was able to post in the classifieds? How's that possible? So , who do I have to bribe favors with in order to bump it to 30 days or 30 posts? lol, your Mod? I use to do a forum so I know you can change it if you want to.

 

Yes we do make exceptions in some cases. Only Administrators can make the change, and yes, I'm one of them. Tip: Under each username is the user's usergroup or title. Moderator will state Moderator, Administrator will state Administrator, etc.

*only reason it's Manhater is because only men have managed to ruin my mint condition hot rod.. 3 mechanics at 3 different places, 5 hit and runs and an x husband, The car only had 3k miles on it when I first got it..
