Hi every time I try and log on. The tgo page is very slow to open it started about wed. is it my computer or is something diff.?

 

Mine is doing it too.
On my computer at work and the one at home.

 

Same here..............takes 2-3 minutes to open no matter what computer or ISP I use.

 

Add me to that list. All pages and even the reply button takes a long time.

All other web sites I visit work normally. Just a heads up.

 

If you come in through https://www.thirdgen.org, there does appear to be a problem when you attempt to login via that avenue.

However, if you come directly to https://www.thirdgen.org/forums I see no such issue. In fact, with an empty cache, the webpages are loading in a matter of a few seconds for me.

Looks to be an issue with the CMS system with the front page https://www.thirdgen.org - again.

 

I have been logging in through the techboards since last weeks problem with the main page and all was well. It's just been the last couple days that it has been slow to load anything. It seems to coincide with front page problems.

However, this morning it's back to normal without clearing my cache.

I'm not in this thread to argue or complain. I thought this forum was here for us to inform you of our experiences with the site. If you're loading pages normally, that's great.

 

There was no problem, or hints of any problems, with you informing us of this. Outside of the issue with the front page which I confirmed, I'm not aware, nor have I seen, any performance issue inside the forums itself for the past few days alone.

Please do understand that with as many members that this website has, there is going to be some who may see a similar issue, but may be totally unrelated, or may be a local issue. There is so many factors that can affect performance online (your local ISP's network, the backbone between your ISP and the server, the server itself, your own computer and/or software, etc.).

There is no dismissing that there is indeed an issue with the front page, again, which I confirmed. However, I'm not aware of any performance issue inside the forums itself. I'm on here daily, multiple times per day, and I haven't seen it or heard from a large base of users. And again, there was not a problem (nor did I hint to towards any) with members reporting such.

When I notice problems in the future I'll just keep it to myself and and surf elsewhere. Then, I'll keep checking back periodically to see if the problem is corrected and I can continue using your site for the very valuable information it contains.
