Is there any way that posts can be edited weeks later?

Is there any way that posts can be edited weeks later?

I am trying to put together an events page at N/W Indiana and South Chicago and I am unable to edit my first post. I would like to edit the first post for ease of finding current events and having all the shows on the first page. I did this in 2007 and it worked great. I would like to have as many people know about the events as possible(I have no vested interest, just like cars) and know that people won't sift through five pages of add ons looking for a particular event on a Saturday afternoon. If there is anything anyone can do, it would be greatly appreciated on behalf of myself and the rest of Indiana and Chicago.

Here is the thread:

Unfortunately, at this time, there is no simple switch to throw that would allow some users, or certain threads, or certain forums, the ability to edit posts later.

You can contact the moderator of the forum that the thread is in, or an administrator such as myself, to edit posts.

Can I edit this one periodically(CAR EVENTS 2008)? I would like to update it with new information as it comes...

As I mentioned above, unfortunately, there is no option that allows certain posts, certain threads, or certain forums, from being excluded. Therefore, I cannot simply allow one person to edit one thread or post. The system does not work that way, unfortunately, atleast currently.

You will need to contact a moderator of the forum that thread/post is in (Jeremy or Tim), or you can contact myself and I'll help however I can.

Sorry.
