Probably not a Board problem, but my computer. Just put together a new computer, Vista Home Premium SP1, Firefox 2.0. When I submit a reply to a thread, it sits there with the cursor timer whirling and doesn't update. If I stop the page loading, refresh, and hit Submit again, I get a screen that says, "This post is a duplicate of a post that you have posted in the last five minutes. You will be redirected to that thread." And, I'm redirected to that thread.

If I don't do that, it just sits there.

Hints would be appreciated.

Re: Reply to Post hanging up

It's us (our problem). It appears to be due to the email notification system glitch. Unfortunately, I need some network ops assistance with this issue, which means it may not be resolved immediately. Sorry.

Wow, I thought it was me. Good to know it's a known problem, and is being worked.

Thanks.

Re: Reply to Post hanging up

You'll notice the issue may be a "hit and miss" when responding to a thread, which is dependent on the email notification preferences for those previous posters in the thread you're replying to. Meaning, if you reply to a topic where any previous member had previously replied and they have email notification turned on, you will see the hanging while responding to that thread. However, if you reply to a topic where no members have email notifications turned on, then your response will go through as normal.
