I have my options set to notify me of pm's aswell as thread subscriptions. When there's a new post in one of my subscribed threads it has not been emailing me. I noticed this yesterday and is there a setting that got changed on my profile that i'm not seeing? Because I double checked and it seems to be set fine.

 

There is a known issue with the email notification not working, which is recent. The issue is being looked into.

just chiming in to say that I too am no longer recieving notifications by email

You shouldn't be, nor anyone else, as unfortunately there is an outage with the system that has not yet been resolved.

So, at this moment, there is no need to take the time to let us know that you're not receiving email notification because the system is down and nobody is receiving email notification.

i'v been getting some here and some there. I didn't relize it till I when back and was like what i got 5 replys yesterday and i never was informed. Hope it is fixed soon

 

The email service has been restored and the emails are being sent out. You'll probably be seeing a back supply.

By the way, I checked your email address and I have verified that our mail server is attempting to deliver mail to your Hotmail account. A quick scan shown atleast 4 different attempts of email notifications to your Hotmail address from our email server. If you are not receiving them, I can only guess it's something on Hotmail's end as our email server is showing it's sending email notifications to your Hotmail address.

 

im getting the emails, but they are about 3-4 days behind. im having the same problem on ls1tech as well.
i dont know anything about computers, so they are prolly not related.

 

Yes, the email services have been restored and the email server is "catching up", hence why you are now receiving the emails you should have received over the past few days.

Actually, the issue with ls1tech and us (TGO) were related. We are owned by the same company and share some of the same resources to a degree.

Every now & then, I get a Reply Notice, go in, & find other Replies, that came in BEFORE I got the one I was looking at, that I didn't know about. In other words, Notice of #18, but I go in to find #15, #16, #17, that I never got notices for.

BUT, can anybody beat this record?

I got a Reply Notice, last month, of a Reply Post of just over ONE YEAR OLD!

What it amounted to was....
"BTW, you got a Reply to (this) thread over a year ago....Just thought we'd let you know!"

 

There is not much need to reply to this thread to state that you're currently not getting email notifications as email notifications are currently offline due to a technical issue. I had waited to respond hoping to have more information that that, but I do not.

If you can provide some proof of that, I'd love to see it. When the email server gets hammered, it's known to get behind by a few hours. If a technical issue occurs and isn't fixed immediately, those delays can be a few days as the queue is processed. But a case where notification being "delayed" by 1 year almost certainly has more to the story, and therefore, I'd love to see it.

 

Just an FYI, my e-mail notification is temperamental, but it has been working for me to date. Mind you, I don't get each and every one of them, but I do get the majority of them, still....

 

Are you sure they are recent? Pre-Friday? If so, please provide me with the details. The email servers aren't offline, but there is a problem with the forum notifications. I'm still seeing bounce backs from last week, so perhaps you are seeing old email notifications from Pre-Friday. It's not unusual (unfortunately) to see a notification from a few days ago, especially when the service as to play catch-up after a technical issue.

 

thats weird, Im not getting any either. Doesnt really matter to me, email is blocked at work so I always have to check under the user CP to check my subs. Either way, Thanks for doin what you do JT, even if it is a PITA sometimes

Stephen, please settle down a bit. I simply asked for details. Nowhere did I call you a liar. I stated there had to be more to the story, and apparently, there was.

This statement implies that a post was made last year, but you received the notification for that post 1 year later.

But here:
You state that you received an email notification from another post. Big difference between your two statements. The last statement explains the rest of the story (it was another response in that thread that directed you there via an email notification, not an email notification for a post made 1 year ago). That's why I asked.

Moving on, I believe email notifications should have started to resume this evening. However, I'm not sure how operational the email notifications are, though.
