PMs not going to correct people and not being automatically subscribed

i believe this is two different problems, but don't know if anyone else is having this problem. I sent a PM to someone on this forum, and someone else came back saying that they got it. JT, you were apart of this thread (https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/hist...rd-trans.html), so maybe you can help, not sure.

A screen shot has been provided to show that in the last two days i did not PM the other person that responded on the thread, yet he says he got my info, and redirected it to the correct person for me. I do not understand how that should be happening.

Also, on a few occasions, i have responded to a thread, or on even more rare occasions, i have started the thread, and yet i'm not subscribed. I go to the subscribed threads under my User CP, and they aren't there, so i need to hunt them down. Again i'm probably the only one having these issues as it usually seems to be my luck. Thanks to those who may be able to help!

Re: PMs not going to correct people and not being automatically subscribed

I think the PMs issue is actually a misunderstanding by 89GTAFirebird. I logged into his account and he has no PMs from you or the other user(87transGTA).

In addition, I logged into 87transGTA's account and he does not show he sent a PM, but instead, he responded to the thread.

It is my belief that because 89GTAFirebird received email thread notification from that thread you all participated in, he mistakenly thought the information was directed to him. 89GTAFirebird is a newer user on our forums.

I logged into all three accounts and that's how I was able to come to this conclusion.

As far as the thread subscription issue, there has been about 3 users that have also reported a similar issue over the course of several months. We have tried to replicate the reported issue dozens of times (literally) by not only us using user's account who reported the issue, but also using test accounts, but we can never replicate the issue - not even one time. This makes troubleshooting the issue difficult. We have also discussed the issue with the software developers and they have never heard or seen such an issue on other vB-based forums.

Alright, like i said, it was a pretty rare occurance, and i know all about the troubleshooting issues and not being able replicate the issue. I understand.

And thank you for clearing up the other occurance, i just wanted to make sure that my information isn't accidentally being sent to others, reguardless of how crutial the information was or not. Thanks for your time JT!
