Google ads are not useful

sorry but for the last few days i have been seeing the inside of someones mouth and all about teeth whiting

since when do F-bodys need there teeth white? and do we really need to see the picture... isnt there some way we could turn the crappy google ads off?

maybe for senior members or something i still think the after market and sponsor ads are a good thing how ever... that adsense by google is useless and is starting to show itself for a scam

Sorry, but this is not much different than this thread:
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/prob...s-tgo-why.html

The ads are through Google and they help pay for the website, software, hardware, as well as some profit for the owners. If ads were restricted to being TGO related only, there would be few ads to support and pay for TGO. TGO is confined to one platform and one generation. These vehicles aren't too old to be very collectible to get the restoration businesses, and not new enough to be as active as cars still in production. So there is not a whole lot of "market", advertisement speaking, to allow TGO to run only TGO related ads. Atleast that's my take, as I don't work in the advertising area.

If there is an offensive ad that doesn't belong, we can selectively remove them. But I can tell you that we cannot just remove ads just because they are non-TGO or non- FBody specific. I don't think the ads are in place because our owners think that we actually like them and want them. If those ads are removed, something else will have to be put in it's place. In addition, some of the ads you see are based on your geolocation and history.

Nobody that I know of likes ads. I really wish they could be turned off or limited. However, I know that request is least likely to just be fulfilled out of mere request, since this website is free to access and use by viewers but is not free to operate. I also believe there just isn't enough ThirdGen specific material to support and pay for the website without such generic ads.

If you or anyone has constructive and reasonable solutions, ideas or can provide us with any vendor that might be interested in advertising on TGO, please contact us and I'll get it to the proper area. That is one of the few ways that might help toward getting the non-TGO ads replaced.

Thanks.
