Recommendations for having members get to know eachother more/more site logins

by adding in a flash chat, so all online members can go into a chatroom and associate themselves amonst eachother and browse the forum in another window.

and also a Offtopic forum.

for instance, i thought we had an offtopic forum, because i want to rant about being a victim of Credit Card Fraud, and i cant call my bank until Monday.

This blows >.<

Re: Recommendations for having members get to know eachother more/more site logins

Please make sure you read the Stickies (Important/Useful) and Announcements as they contain important, and frequently asked about, information.

The "off-topic" suggestion is outlined here:
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/prob...-non-tech.html

The Regional section is about as close to an "off-topic" section as we have, and plan to have, at this time.

We had a chat room, some time ago, but it was abused and underutilized. As well, a chat program can take away from the forum by moving any technical material into an outlet that will disappear and not be "logged" for others who might have benefited from the technical material.
