For some reason its been very slow lately on my computer. I have cable internet. I dont have any trouble on other forums. I type a letter and wait for it to show up on the screen. Then type another letter and wait again. Even the smiles on the side arent dancing. There just twitching a little. Any ideas?

 

What you describe is not a network connection issue, but rather, a CPU load issue on your computer. The smilies not animating would be due to a CPU load on your computer as well as time it takes for text to appear after you type it in.

Are you running 3rd party security software? If so, what exactly? Have you noticed this issue all the time, or only certain times? If only certain times, is it a specific advertisement on top? Finally, what specifications do you have for your computer?
