slow response time
Lately it has been difficult to move around this forum. The time it takes for it to respond is measured in minutes.
I checked with my help desk and they find my system is running fine. Only one other forum I frequent and have same issues(hardcoresledders.com).
Corvette Forum and Crossfire Forum is fine
What could be the issue???
Thank you.
Ronny

Re: slow response time
There are different aspects to "slow" concerns with the issues and resolutions being quite different.
Is this a slow issue involving rendering and navigating pages? Is scrolling through the page choppy?. When typing a response in the message box, is the text slow to appear on the screen? Are the animated smilies may be choppy? Those are due to high CPU load on your machine. This could be caused by any one of several issues on your machine.
Or is this a slow issue involving time it takes for a clicked link to be acted upon? If so, what does the browser's status bar show? The server load for ThirdGen has been well within normal range, and so that leaves the network. Since you said CorvetteForum is fine, and because CorvetteForum and ThirdGen share some network resources, then I'd suspect this may not be an issue as CorvetteForum would likely experience the issues as well.

Re: slow response time
hardcoresledder is not a part of our network.
From what you describe, you have a CPU load issue where the CPU on your machine is high. Like I said previously, this could be caused by any one of several issues on your machine from security software, corrupt software, to hardware issues (slow machine).
I'd try a different browser, such as Chrome or Firefox. I suspect you will see a difference.
