Am I the only one the that is pissed off with all the pop up ads? Its bad enough that there is so much advertising on this site and now we have to deal with all the pop ups. This site used to be a good site but now it is ruined by all the advertising!!!

 

We do not use true "pop-up" ads. If you see them, they are either something indirect from ThirdGen or they are misbehaving ads. Send me a screen capture to jt@thirdgen.org as well as a click-through link so that we can investigate.

The site is free to use by members, however, the site is nowhere near free to operate. The site cannot operate on a typical 9.99/month GoDaddy plan between the amount of bandwidth and hits this website sees. Paying for the operations of the website, and given the website is owned by a for-profit corporation, means the ads are necessary. Few things are free (or ad-free).
