dragged mine out of the garage today for a spring cleaning and took my wife to a flea market in Bowling Green KY. Saw a couple of cars along the way... Im gonna get arrested doing this one of these days...lol
Whoever put that spoiler on it was smoking somethin. Figured this one had roaches in the ash tray, so I tried to take a shot of the interior. Photo wouldnt take. No roaches, but MAN was it ever rough!
Dunno if you can get arrested for taking pics but its hilarious for the simple fact that you are doing it in US.In Europe its expected to see people around a Trans Am or Camaro or have people staring inside your car but I think in US its weird to see someone who was born in the country where these cars were made to look at them like they never seen one before Either way great finds ,its really nice to see people use them as daily drivers.

From 1982 until about the late nineties (98 or so) these cars were simply everywhere. However they were so abused because they were simply Americas cheapest sports car. Just about anyone could afford one. Those who couldn't afford a new one simply bought a used one 5 years old or so and STILL had a nice one. But, since they were raced and abused by most they didnt last long. Fast forward to 2016 and you MIGHT see ONE every two or three weeks or so, and they are almost always junked out. The OP of this thread challeged everyone to find them in their natural habitats, and I must say it can be entertaining
You don't say , I bookmarked this thread and check it every day.Its like a serial where you get a new episode every day.You see the surroundings and you get a story about the car and what it has been through. For example the black Camaro had a serious problems with pot holes and high sidewalks if you check the front bumper lip.
I'd post 3rd gen but its pretty much impossible to find them on streets here.THe % is too small to find any.I do look after american cars in general.Saw once a 80's Fleedwood. It looks big and exotic here.It was in the parking lot of a hospital and the back was sticking out of the parking space .Had a VW Golf next to it .It made the poor Golf look like a cheap toy car.

Spotted most of these in Central IL
A GTA I tried to buy
1987 GTA thats identical to mine even the Paddle mirrors
Spotted this from the road and had to get a picture
Spotted Pace car and parked next to it for a picture
C&C t top Formula I tried to buy, been sitting for probably 10 years now...
Tried to buy this Formula, still continues to sit.. I had a engine and everything to get it road worthy
90's RS 5 speed sitting along with that red Formula. Wasn't for sale either of course and still sitting
A friend sent this to me. 91-92 Formula that used to run around quite a bit
Spotted this at a dealer and snagged a pic with my car right before a storm rolled in
Kinda rough but still on the road
Bandit for sale!
IROCK? Pretty clean though
This started parking in the complex my shop is in. The car was a gift given to the guy and he is driving it everyday. Its a little rough around the edges but he lit them up leaving last week so it can't be too bad!
Found this on the internet today. Check out the nice iroc in the back.
Below is the video link, can you guess which one of these beer swillin good ol' boys owns it? My guess is it's the guy with the dark hair and fu-Manchu...He looks the part!
That's the only 3rd Gen I've seen. I've also seen four 5th Gen's, but no 1st, 2nd or 4th.
It has a very similar instrument gauge cluster as my '91. Body is in real good shape and the inside is in pretty good shape as well. I noticed it had a Hurst shifter for the automatic tranny. Didn't see any rust at all. That could go either way though. Desert environment but only 3 miles inland from the Gulf.
Just picked up this 82 Z28 Crossfire barnfind, no really the guy sells Amish built barns and garages, no motor or tranny but pretty clean. Originally from Huntington NY

Got behind this guy while out of town the weekend. Stopped and talked with him its a 92 Lb9 Auto with 50,000mi. He wants to sell it and has it priced at 15k. Im sure his two sons would love for him to just keep it though.

You'd be a great detective
At least he talked to them and they know why he did it.The car looks amazing and stock plus you don't see families driving around in classic cars that look that well kept.
They were probably looking at my wife in the passenger seat! LOL. Pretty lady with blonde hair probably attracts more attention than my old car or me sneaking a pic of it!
