I'm sure it won't be a big show or ever be a big show, just a few formula owners that never get any respect at any other shows.. ;-)
The idea originated on FB by someone. It may even open up to the local racetrack next yr..
I truly think a ALL 3rd gen show or meet close by would be a cool idea. Lots around but rarely all together.
I hit a show or two around here & usually can't find another 3rd gen.
Maybe even cooler would be an ALL 80's show.
I agree, a all 3rdgen show would be cool buuuut It's not my show.
Totally understand but maybe next year. If it's in Fenton that is close.....Possibly George Winter park show next year with 3rd gens... drop the hint. There are a LOT around socked away as weekend cars.
I think that’s cool... I barely see Thirdgen Formulas around.. I see a handful of IROCs but I’ve only seen 2 Thirdgen Formulas at shows between Boston and New Hampshire..
If anything have a parking section for just the Formulas and an area for other show cars..
The Corvette Club Cruise Night I go to has the first two rows with signs saying “Corvette Parking Only” and a sign in-front of the rest of the parking lot that says “Other Show Cars”... Not a huge turnout but some of the guys have non-vette friends that want to bring their cars...
The Camaro Club I’m in has some Mopar and even an M3 because they like the people.. They let me park my Vette with them at Cruise ins too... It’s hard not to be inclusive in this hobby..
It also helps others appreciate the cars when people can say, “those Formula guys have a good show there..”

here here! I once heard the guys on Mecum refer to a Formula as the poor mans Trans Am.

Its strange because when I used to run 1/4 mile I’d get more nervous running against a Formula than a T/A... On the track the Formulas, Grand Nationals and the Notchback Fox Mustangs got more respect from me than other IROCs Vettes, T/As, or Mustang GTs
Nothing like running your best time of the day but the guy next to you beats you by 3 car lengths...
I love the 91-92 Formulas actually better than the Trans-ams those 2 years. Yep, I remember them being very fast! Lot less weight there I suppose. Take some good pics of this show Tony.
