HDR is not photoshopped but normally a default enhancement on most smartphones that you would have to turn off as it is on by default on iphones and android. May want to check that.
I recently was able to get my car on the ground and out in the sun for a bath and a few pictures. I'm still in the process of swapping a LS3/T56 into the car along with LS1 front brakes, dash and console. I also need to have the stock hood painted and rear spoiler along with the headlight buckets. So I still have a long road ahead of me.

Thanks for the info. I never knew what HDR stood for. I just thought it was the setting for taking high definition pictures.

HDR stands for "high dynamic range", it's designed for situations where the highlights are too bright and the dark areas are too dark so the camera can't capture the entire range of brightness in a single shot.
HDR is done in two steps:
In the first step the software creates an image that does have the entire brightness range, usually by combining multiple shots at different brightness levels - the result from this step is usually an image that looks bland and boring if viewed directly.
In the second step the software takes the result from the first step and process it to enhance details, colors and local contrast - the produces the "HDR look" of images with saturated colors and details everywhere.
Here's my 86 sport coupe with a 5.3 ls swap and t-56. Car was originally a 2.8 auto, and medium gray metallic. The blue is 6th gen hyper blue metallic.
One of my favorite rides on TGO and by far the best hood I've seen. Your fabrication skills are top of the line. Many of your touches will hopefully make it onto my GTA
My 87 GTA , not a factory gunmetal car but was painted by the previous owner. Car is originally red. Previous owner also shaved the handles. 6.0 lq4 with a stalled 4l60e, FTI 3200 Street brawler stall. Plug and play harness by POCKET. Custom Sub frame connectors, GMMG exhaust exhaust and fabricated hybrid ford 8.8 with 3.55 gears.
Guys...
The idea behind this is to make it easier for folks to nominate your car. Posting a pic of your car, or another member's car accomplishes a big part of that. But you also need to post the exact year and submodel/trim level with your submission. Some of you guys should at least consider putting that information in with your avatar.
Its like...I can see that you've got a 700R4, but I don't know if your car is an '85' '86, '87, or what...
Well, I figured I might give this one more shot for this year.
I know I already posted a bunch of photos and information about the car on page 3 of this thread (post #144 on 02/07/17 ), and if this violates any of the rules, let me know. I will edit my original post and add these photos in there as well
Here are some professional photos taken of my running the car at the OPTIMA BATTERIES SEARCH FOR THE ULTIMATE STREET CAR event this August at NJMP New Jersey Motorsports Park. (some photos are from last years event since Jim at Optima USCA has only released an early batch of photos) I had a blast, even more so than last year and the car worked pretty damn good. I learned a lot and don't want to type it all in this post, but can do so elsewhere.
again, for all the details, see page 3, post #144 written on 02/07/17

Man I had no Idea my car was nominated for Cotm September. Just checked my messages today and saw the nomination email 😂. Reguardless thanks for the love on the nomination 👍👍. Here are some recent photos of my ride anyway. Put in some aerocatch hood latches, and I plan on adding some boost this winter 😈.

3 cars, 5 cars, doesnt matter to me. I just like this thread because it makes nominating so much easier. I always have trouble finding 1) a nice deserving car to nominate 2) someone who is still somewhat active on the boards or has logged in within the last few months and 3) someone who hasnt been nominated recently.
Wether its this month or next, this is just another car that is ready to be nominated when the time comes.
Plenty of nice cars on here to nominate. I agree with you punzak9 on trying to find someone somewhat active on the board. Also some different cars. We're getting better at that also.
I like the months where there’s a lot of cars. I like when people get to tell the stories of their thirdgens.. I do agree that I worry I’ll nominate someone that’s not active and I’ve seen a couple guys saying they didn’t even realize they were nominated.. I try to look though and find people that I see posting..
There’s definitely people that have been nominated that I want to nominate again who I think should win, but I try to find new blood first and come back to the re-nominations down the road..
Obviously I try not to nominate someone who’s won.. I like when people put COTM in their signature for that reason.. COTM is cool because when you come on to the site, you get to see all these awesome representations of thirdgens!

I'm with you. I like COTM because it showcases certain cars and you get to hear their stories and get a close look at them. It's like going to a virtual cruise night where you chat with the owner.

This is the best part for me also, I love the fact that members cars are first and foremost on the page.
Is there anyway to check to see if someone is active on the board before you nominate? If I see a car that catches my eye I will nominate them not Knowing if they are still active or not.
I also don't see a problem in someone getting the nod more than once as long as it is not consecutive months. 88IROC you are a perfect example, you have been up more than once and your car is definitely worth that honor. Probably should have won.
Yeah I’ve been nominated a bunch but it’s time for some new ones to try and bring it home.. there’s still some active deserving cars out there..
Chazman, that’s how I see it.. it’s an online cruise night.. I love the stories and details that come out in COTM.. there are some awesome stories especially the one owner cars out there.. I love those and all the “pre smartphone” pics
