I've got a build thread in a couple of other places but I've neglected to put one here. Here's the plan, going to convert my racecar to a street strip car. I have most of the big stuff already, but it'll be a slow process as I work by myself.

You'll easily make that power. The intercoolers work well! You'll like them. Just get a good sized tank and use couple bags of ice and alittle prechilling time
random question- how many inches of "droop" does the coilover setup have from the resting on the ground position to jacked up with tires off the ground?
I don't know yet. I haven't had it on the ground yet since I put them on. It'll probably vary depending on the spring rate you use. IIRC mine are 175lb
i wasnt thinking when i asked that. i believe with these cars it should pretty much be the same amount of travel when going to coilovers compared to the stock setup.
That fox was my daily that I gave to my son for his first car. It's a 79 with an 85-86 nose and rear bumper. 302 with cam, intake, carb, shorty headers, catless h pipe, and magnaflows with turndowns. It's been converted to an AOD and since I gave it to him we added the welds and an 8.8 with 4.10's. It's a manual window car. Nice interior but needs paint and a new top

A new top? It's a vert? Hard to tell from the pic, but either way it sounded like a fun ride... and one hell of a first car for a kid. Meanwhile I say this as I am watching Stephen King's "Christine" on cable, hopefully he doesn't become that obsessed with it lol. The Camaro build sounds very well thought through, looking forward to the updates.
I ordered a couple Hall effect sensors for my ms3 pro ultimate today. Going to try and pick up brake Rotor vanes for traction control, If your going to run the same setup I will post up how I end up mounting them. Running off digital io 2 and 3 on the center harness I think with sensor grounds.
Go ahead and post them up. The EVO doesn't have the center harness, but at some point I'm gonna want to run traction control and it'd be nice to see some options
Time for some updates. Progress has been slow because of other stuff going on.
First, I got the Motion Raceworks soft steamline setup on
Remote coil mounts assembled
Bought an Autokraft pan and added fittings for the turbo oil drains
Did the Astro van steering shaft conversion
Got the pan on and all buttoned up
Oh and I shaved a set of valve covers and I'm gonna paint them tomorrow. I'm using 2 of the oil filler ones because I'm gonna run the billet oil filler caps that have the -10 fitting coming out for a breather setup. The ones in the pics are just the extras
I've done all the clearance mods to get the CSR trans shield to fit on my PG, just waiting on some 90's for the trans cooler lines and a new trans mount and that will be ready to go. Hopefully next weekend I can set the motor and trans in. Then the fun begins. LOL
Got the engine in a couple of weeks ago. Trans is in too, somewhat, but now I have a problem. I'm running a powerglide with a CSR trans shield and any of you who are familiar with them know that they mount using the bellhousing bolts. They have a little aluminium spacer at each hole and a steel plate that goes across. Here's the problem, that stuff means using a longer bolt and moves the bolt holes closer to the firewall and there's no way those bolts are going in(top 4 bolts). Looks like I'm going to have to cut some access holes in the floor and make some removable panels to get to the bolts. I'm wishing now that I'd just bucked up and bought a trans with an aftermarket case.
Headers and valve covers(shaved stock ones) on. Working on alternator mount. It's a pain. Had to notch the block and now i have to replace a bad helicoil
I did shave them myself. It was a good amount of work. Used a cutoff wheel then a small grinder. Filled the leftover holes with epoxy. I'm either gonna put the coils in the cowl area or mount them on the frame rails so far
