What does this part look like out of the car?

I am restoring/upgrading the doors and my car never had these trim bits. I suppose I could get them from a wrecker. I have the the plates, etc just not this part. Is it part of the trim plate or the handle? I have a camaro.

Pardon my lack of knowledge, but are those spacers supposed to be on all 1982-92s? Neither of my '91s have them, I've never seen them on a car before, and I don't see how they'd fit as all 4 of my armrests fit fine on both my cars without them.

Correct. Early cars use them, later cars don't. Later cars use a different trim panel around the lock trim too, IIRC. The hole is smaller on later cars since they don't have the base of the sleeve to cover up a larger cutaway.

Okay, good to know. Will have to look closer next time I see an 82-87!
