So far a grand total of 23 3rd gen's go up for auction at Mecum and Barrett Jackson in January. Most are still early in the auction, but a nice showing and a good mix.
Don Prudhomme's funny car is one of them.
List includes
2 TTA's
3 GTA's
9 IROC's and Z28's
1 1LE with low miles
a half a dozen convertible's among them.

Wonder how those will do...? GS has been soft compared to 10 years ago during their surge. The ZR-1 is a decent buy right now, but who knows if they will ever take off in "collector" values. GNX has done exceptional. Probably will remain as such.

The GS is a convertible with the most desirable red interior and under 100 Miles, I think it’ll do really well. The zr1 is a 90 with about 400 miles. Gorgeous car but there are a number of them out there with that kind of mileage (like TTAs) so it’ll be interesting to see. One of the GNXs is number 003, first available to the public so I bet that will set records 👍
Mecum descriptions aren't worth much. My car previously sold there in 2010 and the seller described it as having 1LE brakes (wrong), Power hatch release (wrong), Power window defogger (wrong), Power windows (wrong), Power door locks (Wrong). The descriptions are provided by the seller, and Mecum puts a disclaimer at the bottom. Your best bet is to inspect the car in person.

Auction houses have a duty and obligation to fact check. Any excuse is just that, an excuse.
But I know what you mean, the reliance on owners is astounding.

They are still adding more 3rd Gens at Mecum. When I started the thread, there was 14 of them. Now they are up to 17. Barrett Jackson has added another one as well and has 10 up for grabs.
