Looks a bit familiar... Almost exactly like one a forum member owns. Pretty sure he and the seller even live in the same town. What are the odds?

Though they are, other than bolt pattern, I am not sure I would refer to the rotors as Caprice rotors. Even though I may have done so here. Specific gearing should be close ratio gearing. Nice car.

Yeah, I always thought of 1LE cars as fog light delete, hard top and radio delete on a quick inspection.. didn’t think T-Tops were possible.. is there a Vert 1LE? That would be crazy talk!

Re: 1LE w factory t tops - yep

No verts, but a total of 29 T-Top 1LE's got built by Pontiac between 1991 & 1992 (27 in 91 and 2 in 92).

Breakdown was 8 Formulas and 19 TA's in 91 and one each in 92. So far I think a total of 4 of the cars have shown up, 3 91 Formulas and 1 91 TA.

Pontiac seemed to have been a little more liberal than Chevy in the 1LE department. Car is in great condition, fully restored and completely numbers matching with an excellent 3 owner history. Will be going to BJ in CT this year.

I have a 89 formula 350 ASC vert, I put 1LE brakes on it, does that count? lol

John in RI, I wouldn't call C&C ttops factory either but the red formula has factory TTOPs.

Re: 1LE w factory t tops - yep

The second sentence of the add......

Pontiac Firebird Formula. Yes, it's true! Pontiac built a few 1LE showroom stock race cars with the CC1 t-top option! Pontiac 1LE production is very low with only 172 units total being produced. In 1991 46 1LE Formulas were built and 62 Trans Am's, of the Formulas 8 of them were built for the very first time with T-tops - this is one of those cars! NONE of the camaro 1LE cars produced were ever built with T-TOPS!
P.S. Didn't see the vid,.... and can now clearly see the 'CC1' Code on the RPO tag.

Now you have me really confused - what about the second sentence of the add says they are Cars and Concepts and not factory t-tops?

Re: 1LE w factory t tops - yep

If you click the link to cars-on-line.com at the top of the page it leads you to an add for the car. The first sentence of the add says.

"Pontiac Firebird Formula".
The second sentence of the add says
"Pontiac built a few 1LE showroom stock race cars with the CC1 t-top option!"
The third sentence of the add says
" Pontiac 1LE production is very low with only 172 units total being produced."
The fourth sentence of the add says
" In 1991 46 1LE Formulas were built and 62 Trans Am's, of the Formulas 8 of them were built for the very first time with T-tops - this is one of those cars! "

Reading that add is why I thought this car had C&C T-Tops.

P.S. Again,..... I then saw the Vid and realized I read "CC1" and not "C&C".
