Re: Tires

I just order the Gforce Sport Comp2 tires based on recommendations here for an excellent all around summer tire. But I am only street driving it.

Re: Tires

As said above, the BF Comps make a nice summer tire in that size, look good too.

Re: Tires

Not many options in that size anymore
Kumho PS31 is the only other option I’m considering

https://www.discounttiredirect.com/f...size/245-50-16

Page 2 has the summer dedicated BF, has a good look to keep the Gatorback tread look.

The choices really are slim, a few.

Re: Tires

You might consider the 225-55-16 size, which while is a bit narrower is the same overall diameter and has dozens of choices available.

Re: Tires

I would pick one of these two if it was the size I needed.

Re: Tires

The best tires I have found... short of a track only tire that's not good for the street is the BF Goodrich G Force Sport Comp2 (not the all season version).
They are ok on the track and very good on the street. The wet traction is above average

Re: Tires

I've always had good luck with the BF Goodrich tires on the street. I had the all season G Force Sport Comp on a dyno tuned 2013 Dodge Charger that had some work done to it and was dyno tuned and they always hooked except for during the occasional snow storm off the line. Even in the snow they had great traction though.

I just got these and once you get a bit of heat into them they're sticky as hell. Very much like these tires so far.

Re: Tires

I ended up going with Mickey Thompson Street Comps, in 275/35/18.
http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/s...es/street-comp
Was ready to race this guy, other things came up. So I've been using them exclusively for daily driving.
These things stiiiiiick, ya dig? No, but they're really great. By the time I'm out of my neighborhood, I'm stuck to the ground.
