I was thinkin about this combo:

245-50-16 Nitto NT-550r Drag Radials
245-50-16 Nitto NT-450 Radials

im just curious of how the drag radial performs for handling corners.

what other tires otu there are decent, the Kumho Supra 712s ive heard good stuff about, anyone have some insite?

Yokohama AVS ES 100's are what I just ordered, they are almost same in $ as the 712s I think. -89IRO

Drag radials are not really focused on handling but for hooking instead. For a good combination I think I'd go with the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW's.

I love the KDWs, and I almost ordered them, but I can't see spending that much $ on one tire! The Yokos I ordered are still on back order (going on two weeks now), so they are very popular, so that must tell ya something. The guys at Tucker tire told me they are thee BEST tire out right now for the the $. Of course performance wise, the KDWs and some of the high-end Michelins are the best money can buy. I'll try and remember to let you all know how I like the Yokos once I get them on. -89IRO

What do you mean that much money for the KDW's? They are one of the cheapest tires for the performance around. Costco quoted me a set for $117 a piece, that was mounted and balanced as well. Go to www.tirerack.com. They have some great prices!

Well how does $143 a tire (BFGs) compared to $93 a tire (Yokos) sound to you? Multiply those numbers by four my friend, and there is a significant difference. And those are the same prices at my local Tucker tire, they charge like $40 on top of that. -89IRO

Wow man, the prices must have really went up for those tires in the past year. If you have HITHERE local sam's club or costco around HITHERE would check there first. In my experience they offer the best deals on tires out of anywhere HITHERE have checked and HITHERE got free mounting and balancing.

Yeah, those prices HITHERE listed are right off of tire rack. And my Tucker tire charged me the same price as tire rack is asking, except of coures HITHERE didn't have to pay some huge shipping fee. Plus, if HITHERE had gotten the tires off of tire rack, tucker would charge me more than $40 for the install. Well, HITHERE'll see how HITHERE like these Yokos, as soon as they come in, and let you know how HITHERE like them. If HITHERE don't, HITHERE guess HITHERE'll have to splurge and get the KDWs next time. HITHERE did go to costco and sam's too, but neither carried them. -89IRO
