So I was checking my fluid levels and saw these two hoses hanging loose and disconnected. The first comes from the cylinder behind the driver's side headlight, which I understand to be the purge control solenoid. There are 2 hoses, one marked as 'fuel tank' and the other marked 'carburetor'. The 'carburetor' hose looks to have aged and essentially broken, but it was getting dark and I couldn't find where it was supposed to go. I should also mention that I have been able to drive the car for over 300 miles since I bought it, and had no issues thus far. Obviously it's supposed to be connected somewhere, but I wasn't able to tell where the rest of it would connect. Further, I'm wondering if this could be the cause for occasionally smelling gasoline inside the car, and maybe even be why the car always seems to be a little reluctant to start and stay running without a little coaxing after it's been sitting for a while? At any rate, how much (if any) risk to the engine has running without it connected caused? I'm intending to fix it, but I figured I should probably make sure there wasn't anything else that I should be checking that may have been affected.
The second hose looks like it came loose but I don't know from where. Again, it was getting dark and I only had time to grab a couple pics before I left for work this morning. Figured I'd share here and see if anyone has any insight as to what I'm dealing with.
Hose marked 'carburetor' from what I believe is the purge control solenoid. 'Mystery' hose I didn't have time to trace.

So with proper light and time, I was able to make the necessary repairs to the system. The first hose was pretty straightforward, I followed the vacuum system diagram and found the rest of the hose. It had become so aged and petrified that it broke apart in my hand as I was removing it, and left black powder all over my hands just by handling it, as the rubber was that far gone.
The "mystery" hose actually turned out to be another part of the purge vacuum system, it was just absurdly long because the previous owner replaced it (by the look of how petrified the other hose had become, I think I can guess why) but he used an excessive amount of hose and either didn't use a hose clamp to secure it or it was too loose and fell off. Either way, a couple of new pieces of hose and the purge system lines are back to where they should be.
As for the gasoline smell, it turns out the fuel line to the carb was removed at one point or another, but when reinstalling it, the line got twisted and the nut didn't thread fully into the carb, leaving an intermittent drip. I removed the old damaged copper fuel line and replaced it with a new rubber fuel line (a helluva lot easier to route that than removing the old copper one was, let me tell ya!) Secured it in place with a couple of hose clamps and the gasoline odor problem is gone.
Updated for posterity in case anyone comes across a similar issue.
