AWESOME!! My fiancee and I will make plans to be there along side you guys! She has Facebook, we'll check out the page this evening. If at all possible, I hope to be in the '83 crossfire Z. If it's not good enough by then, the '87 Iroc will still be good to go. The 21st is the day after my birthday, look forward to meetin' up, hangin' out, and checkin' out all you guys' awesome F-bodies!!
Truth be told, it's the new engine more than the no AC. ...and the new fuel pump....and new transmission....and new this...and the new that. -and the same old me that put it all together! I'm having trust issues with myself. Although, the combo has been.....ya know, I'm not going to say it.
I think I have access to my father in-law's enclosed trailer too, but he's in Charleston. I DO wanna go though.....we shall see.
Sadly, I will not be able to attend this time. I just had foot surgery this past Thursday and will be out of commission for the next 2 months. I really wish I could be there with you guys, please post lots of pics.
Next year you guys should hold an event in New Orleans at Nola Motorsports Park. Its 15 minutes from down town New Orleans. The track host lots of events like auto x. and has a 2.75 mile road course that could be rented or just used for parade laps while the car show is in the paddock. It also has an event center where lunches could be served or awards, etc. Just a thought
We are again going to try to get a thirdgen meet this year sometime. We have a Facebook page as well.
Last year we attempted to make the meet in September the day before an fbody show outside Atlanta. Due to the hurricane activity and an fbody show in Tennessee it down played the meet.
So post up suggestions. Some ideas so far is to have the meet along with a car show like the fbody show again this coming september, or at the beach bas in october. Another suggestion was to have it at a state park in Georgia, Hawks Performance in SC, or Summit Racing in Mcdonough Ga.
I think piggy backing on another event, especially at first, is a great idea.
I know I plan on going to the beach bash this year.
If Hawk's was willing to host something at their shop at some point in the year, that would be another cool idea.
....If summit is doing another show this year, that's obviously not a bad idea either, although that starts to push distance for me. -but we'll see.
That'd definitely be something I'd try to go to - especially with it being later in the year so I have time to get my car somewhat straightened out. Summit is pretty spacious to have a meet at, I haven't been to Hawks. And like Abubaca said, having one at a larger meet seems to be a good idea too. Regardless of what is decided, I'll be down.
Time is coming up for the AllGen Fbody show and the following month at the Bash at the Beach. Im planning on attending both. Which is the most popular hotel for the Bash at the Beach?
