Question about snout bolt (LT1)

I'm installing the snout onto the crank and it is held in place by a bolt. I need to know if there is a special (or not so special) washer that goes on the bolt. And, what is the exact size of the bolt? It's on a 95 LT1. Thanks guys

Re: Question about snout bolt (LT1)

Grade 8 markings, 7/16x20 bolt. The washer looks like it's standard grade 8 steel too. Note the washer was measured in metric and the bolt was measured in standard.

Thank you. I have the correct bolt, but I don't have the washer. Any idea where to get one?

Re: Question about snout bolt (LT1)

I'd check with suppliers that specialize in hardware and any speed shops that may be near you

Re: Question about snout bolt (LT1)

Well, I've cruised through the internet and found one washer, but its cost is out of site. $88.21, and it's used. I can have one made for half that price. So my next step is to find an LT1 at the junk yard.

BTW the chevy part # is 10128306
