History / OriginalityGot a question about 1982-1992 Camaro or Firebird history? Have a question about original parts, options, RPO codes, when something was available, or how to document your car? Those questions, answers, and much more!

If it's got rust that bad, probably best to NOT try to "restore" it. At least not because it's "rare". Unless you just REALLY want THAT PARTICULAR car for some reason other than "it'll be worth alot someday", you'll spend about 3 times as much money and no telling how many times more effort in "restoring" it, than you could just go out and buy a nice non-rotted one for. Basically you're going to have to find a nice non-rotted car and cut it up to get the sections to salvage that one.
If the RPO codes list gold mesh wheels, then ... the RPO codes list gold mesh wheels. Hard for that to be "wrong" no matter what it "seems". No idea myself whether any such code is in that list.

well the floors are gone but the body its self looks good. seems it was sitting in tall grass for awhile. the gold wheels must have been a add on option
