'91 Z28 Daily Build
Well - It's been almost 10 years since I've been in an FBody. I've never been on the Chevy side of things but here we go!
I've noticed a few goofy things with this car like; the front bumper has been replaced with an older looking front bumper cover, the IROC-Z decal, the pin stripe, and the wheels. Any information/tips/tricks with the 91 would be appreciated, I had an 88 GTA for about 5 years and knew it fairly well.
Mods:
12 Bolt Moser - 3.42 - TruTrac
UMI Sway bars
UMI Torque Arm
3" Stainless exhaust
Needs:
Alignment - BAD
Paint - Good enough to live with for now
Tach fix - pending

Beautiful ride! I love the later z28s, everything about them is just gorgeous to me. Looks like a great car, keep us updated on it!

Looks like you got a nice clean car to fix up Congrats on the purchase. You know this is the 1st 91 I have seen that someone put the IROC package on. I think I kinda dig it!

Re: '91 Z28 Daily Build
Yeah - I'm REALLY debating on redoing the pinstripe on it and doing the IROC-Z decal in Z/28. A bunch if mismatched stuff that really works.

Well - today marks day 3 of it being in the shop. Sent it in for an alignment and found out it had a dead spindle which needed to be replaced. Luckily there was a dude literally 3 minutes from my house that has a third gen junkyard! Chip and tach replacement board comes in tomorrow!

Re: '91 Z28 Daily Build
Little more progress! Swapped out the thermostat for a 180*, replaced the tach board, threw in a new memcal, put some new tires on it (Riken Raptors), did ball joints, new front rotors, and got an alignment this weekend. Been a busy few days but I'm just killing time until we get the salt off the road.

Re: '91 Z28 Daily Build
You'll notice there's no rear sway bar - looking to throw on a UMI drag rear and a new front sway - as long as my transmission checks out. No point in making power if you can't put it down. Any words of wisdom on the rear sways w/ a 12 bolt?

Re: '91 Z28 Daily Build
It's been a busy one!
Fiance surprised me with a set of Hooker 2460s when I came home a few weeks back, walked in on her stripping them and coating them.
Recent Mods/Add-ons Include
- Hooker 2460s
- Hooker Y-Pipe cut & added 3" pipe at the Y collector
- Oil Catch Can (Had one laying around)
- Underdrive pulley
- Chip tune....again...(EGR removal, SMOG removal, VATS removal)
- Started PDR on the hood/roof skin
- Stripped/sealed underbody
- TransGo servo (Convinced 4 friends to do the same on theirs)
Started doing some digging. Found my RPO.

Its been the small things while the garage is undergoing work. Going from a 1890s dirt floor garage to a modern cement/drywall barn. THAT has been a project.

Onto paint! With the SFCs installed and the suspension about squared away I chiseled out some time for paint! The body is totally smooth, the primer however I botched.

Re: '91 Z28 Daily Build
With the season winding down and my '67 LeMans taking most of my time I decided to do a few little touches. Got the wheels coated and the tire letters whited.
