Up for sale is a 91 Camaro RS, 3.1L, 700R4 that was wrecked and bought back from the insurance company. Location is Evansville, IN. I’ve held onto it thinking I’d attempt to repair it, however, time has not permitted it so I’m putting it out there for sale as a parts car. Not interested in parting out. Asking price is $1800 and I’ve included a few pics. Also includes the original, undamaged RS flat hood that was removed when we added the Z28 hood as well as the factory RS wheels with tires. The engine runs but the battery has been removed. The AC box on firewall side is broken, windshield is cracked, passenger lower A-arm, sway bar and obviously all the incidental sheet metal/nose damage. The doors open/close perfectly. The T-tops didn’t break, nor has the paint even chipped on the leading edges of the doors. The engine runs fine, at least for the very short time I started it due to the radiator being removed from damage. None of the engine accessory drive components were damaged. The interior is in excellent condition but the airbag in the steering wheel deployed so the steering wheel is no bueno. Has manual windows and locks. The car had a new fuel pump installed (the proper way) as well as all new injectors and most of the engine sensors. UMI lowering springs were installed on all 4 corners.
Below is a link to the build thread I started with pics of what the car looked like up to the point of being wrecked. Interior pic before wreck. Nothing was harmed but the steering wheel airbag did deploy.
I hope your son is ok after the incident…it was a nice looking car. T-tops and interior are worth the asking price alone…especially if the dash isn’t cracked. GLWS!
It's great that your son is fine!
How is it going? Any updates?
Honestly, for a parts car this sounds like a pretty solid deal, especially with the clean interior, T-tops intact, and all the recent mechanical work already done. Stuff like good RS wheels, hood options, and a running drivetrain can really add up fast on these cars. Situations like this are also why I always tell people to look into coverage like Protect My Car on their drivers. Wrecks happen when you least expect them.
Man, that is such a shame.... glad your son is ok, and I know I'm late to seein' this, but I can only imagine how devastated he is/ was my car took a hit from my dad's truck a few months after I bought it back in highschool, I thought it was the end of the world at the time.... ran down the whole side of the car with his truck's bumper one day right after I'd parked after school. A local shop managed to save her, thankfully no frame damage though, just needed a new door, new taillight, and somehow they hammered the quarter back into shape. I was pretty broken up about the salvage title at the time, but honestly it's a bit of a blessing in disguise... my county values my car at about $200 now, so I owe next to nothing on personal property taxes every year anyways, sorry to ramble, really hoping someone will want to fix her up.... beautiful car, my heart goes out to you and your son.

Considering the airbag deployed and it was bought back from insurance, I would wager that the title ain't exactly clean.
Thank you, it was definitely a disappointing end to an otherwise very nice car. Yeah, since the insurance company totaled it, I’m sure it says “salvage” in a computer database somewhere.
Indeed that looks like it was a really nice ride! I have a 91 that I am gathering parts for that is straight and rust free from new mexico but the interior is cooked. I will check into the logistics as I am now in Florida and see if it would be feasible to get up there and pick it up.
