Wheel decisions
What's happening friends
I have been out of the 3rd gen game for about 18 years and now that I have stepped back into GMs lower priced corvette I am excited.
I have a while before I can drive her BUT I can get the wheel and tire combo situated. Choices are:
1)zr1 17x9.5 in all black wrapped with 275 40 17s.
2)1998 C5 wagon wheels all 4 18x9.5 wrapped with 275 40 18s
powder coated in dark charcoal grey
I would absolutely love to have the factory mesh wheels however, the original wheels are too small for my next brake upgrade and the webbing is hard to see the brakes.
The TA is red with silver ground effects. If that helps

Re: Wheel decisions
C5 wagon wheels are hideous. ZR1 A-molds are one of the best looking wheels GM ever offered and they look great on almost all 3rd and 4th gen f-bodies.
That said, I'd have hard time not getting a set of 17" Hawks Wheels to look more correct.

ZR1 wheels, hands down. One of the best GM wheels ever designed.

Re: Wheel decisions
I have the hawks 17x9 black cross lace GTA wheels with 275-40-17 tires and with some BMR springs I love the look and stance I have now. I also got a great deal on some replica 17x9.5 black and machine lip ZR1 wheels. But because they were made for C4/C5 and 4th gen’s I have to run spacers. Just thought I would give a fitment note if you choose the ZR1 wheels.
