looking for some wheels other than the Ronal repops that ive had on B/O getting close to 4 years now and was wondering how a wheel with this back spacing would fit -
5-1/8" Backspacing or +3mm Offset.
sorry, this is kind of a dumb question to most of you but IDK what stock is offhand
Stock 16" wheels were 0mm up front, and +16 out back. ...though "most" people like 0mm on each corner, and will often put front wheel on the back to make it a tide wider. -all the repops, including the Ronals also do this. 0mm offset on all four corners.
...with regard to running 4 wheels with +3 offset, the back would be easy. Don't need to do anything, but you could run a very small spacer to push the wheels 3mm wider if ya wanted to. ....on the front, you might HAVE to run a little spacer. It'd be fine with a stock 245 tire on a 8" wheel, but a 275 on a 9.5" is about the limits of fitting, and that's with a 0mm repop wheel like so many of us have. +3mm offset brings that wheel in closer just a smidge, and I'd imagine you'd rub. Definitely rub with stock brakes. REGARDLESS, it's always easy to push the the wheels out a little. Bringing them in is the hard way to go!!!!!
Thanks Abubaca for replying I know in the past when having the 16" with different offsets that the rears actually will fit on front BUT the wheel weights usually will get knocked off or "ground" down from rubbing on strut? I used to work in tires shops and saw this happen few times of people not knowing they were different, So as long as I might need a spacer is good to know that It'll work is good now, I have to sell myself on the look on a third gen its a Aluminum copy of second gen honeycomb wheel
I like that wheel. Not sure about a thirdgen. Need to see it, but I like where you're going with that.
I get it I had real Honeycombs on my 72 T/A years ago I like them but 3rd gen? IDK just looking around as the wheels I ordered from classic probably aren't happening, I do have a set of Ronal Penta 16x8s that I may do and save the $
