it says the offset is only 2? thought i was looking for a 56mm offset? im running stock rear, will be lowered on sportlines/ tokico hps want to run this wheel with a 255/40/18 will these wheels work or do i have to find another set with diffrent offsets?

 

You won't need spacers at all to run those wheels.

EDIT: I said that based on +2mm & the 4.517" bs of a 8" wide wheel, but those measurements don't match.

A 9" wheel with 0 offset is 4.5" bs.
A 8" wheel with 0 offset is 4" bs.

2mm=0.0787" so add that to the 8" wheel #s above & you get 4.0787"bs. It would still fit but makes me question their 4.517"bs.

If there was a typo & it is 20mm, that would make it a 4.787"bs. Still fits but why don't their #s add up to start with? Makes me question all their #s. Is it even a GM fit wheel & not a Ford fit?

 

Hmmm, according to my calculator an 8" wheel with 0 offset is 4.5 backspace.

 

What you are forgetting is that an 8" wheel is actually 9" wide overall. All wheels are about 1" wider that their advertised width because of how the advertised width is measured. Advertised is measured between the bead seat area of the wheel, not the overall width.

So a 8" wheel with 0 offset has 4.5" of BS, and for that matter 4.5" to the face of the wheel as well. A 9" wheel with 0 offset has 5" of BS because its 10" wide overall.

If the wheels the OP listed are 18x8 with 2m offset, they will bolt right up with no spacers.

 

With the wheel lip, true. To the tire seating surface they aren't, so I screwed up there.

OK.....Somehow I screwed up my #s & I guess my 9" wheels fit without any spacers & have 5" bs? So those will fit.

 

sounds about right, little more or little less will still work.

 

My 17" x 11" fit in the rear too without any spacers, although they did require a "little" inner sheetmetal cutting & BFH work.

 

my 18x12's fit with no spacers either, sheetmetal work is another story, and lets not get into interior work...
