New rear line to hose slow drip

Replaced my rear hard line from master cylinder to the rear T hose on my 87 iroc, however I can not for the life of me get it to stop dripping. Any ideas, the threads on the hard line look just fine. They were purchased from Inline tubes.

Re: New rear line to hose slow drip

Do the threads on the hard line match the fitting on the hose?

Why is the hose end not installed in the bracket it belongs in?

Yea the hose is a Dorman H38180 with metric sizing to match the metric lines. I guess I didn’t think about bending the hard line to get it up into the slot. Guess ill move it up there see if that helps.

If your fitting is tight you may have some dirt on the flange or a crack in the flange. Check it closely if you have it appart.

Agree, this is where I'd start. Pull it apart and check the mating surfaces.

I doubt that it will, butt it can't hurt. Might prevent failures of other sorts on down the road. You'll need one of those weird U-shaped clip things to hold it in there. https://www.autozone.com/p/duralast-...-h1457a/709338

You could try a VERY LIGHT schmear of thread sealant on the mating surface of the bubble flare. Emphasis on VERY LIGHT.

Can you get a good pic of the inside (sealing) surface flare on the hard line?

I reseated it after wiping it down, didn’t apleat cracked or damaged and placed it in the bracket. At the moment doesn’t appear to be leaking, have cardboard underneath and will keep my fingers crossed that it’s fixed.
