Manifold to Y pipe studs - correct size

I'm looking for the studs at the flange connecting the y pipe to the manifold. Most comments I see state 3/8-16 is the thread size, but a few also state M10x1.5. Rock auto shows both. Which is it? My car is a 1990 5.7

Thanks!

It should be the 3/8". Rock Auto often lists stuff that isn't necessarily applicable to your selected vehicle. The metric studs would be for the V6.

Thanks. It's odd that there is no 3/8 Dorman option listed because I know they make them.

Yeah, that's the other thing about Rock Auto. Despite often having oodles of brand options, they often don't peddle some of the stuff that can be found in many stores.

Well assuming that 3/8 is in fact the correct size it may be an error in the dorman catalog causing the issue, since they are showing the metric option only.

Well, I could be wrong then. I certainly remember 3/8" studs in the last one I did (which was an '88), but maybe they were not original. The car had the original exhaust, but the engine was a replacement.

Shouldn't have to order online though, unless you live in the boonies. Especially if your nearest town has 2 or 3 parts stores. Standard and metric stud kits are extremely common to find in the isles.

I know. I have multiple parts stores in any direction I head from my house. Just trying to figure out what I need ahead of time so I can complete the job once I start it. Autozone and advance websites both suck. Rock auto isn't the greatest either but the parts lookup is easier to use.

I'll just do it the home improvement way, which is grab 2x as much of anything I might need, then return what I don't use later.
