I bought another thirdgen too!
Finally got a car for my son. Won it on Ebay. Looks like a great car. I paid for it today by Paypal and my sister who lives in Palm Spring California is picking it up. I was going to visit here next month anyway so I will either drive it back or trailer it back. Looks pretty interesting. Wasn't really planning on a convertible but what the heck. Im tempted to just keep it for myself and buy Max a beater,
Not!
Anyway he won't even have his license by the gathering, just learners permit. Maybe I can get someone to drive it to the gathering. Its a unique car, it was made to a convertible by a R. Staman company in Newport Beach cal. Im hoping its in as good as shape as they say.

Make sure you have a good talk with him about getting comfortable with the car and let him know not to drive fast in the rain with it
ohhh yeah, and we need more pics when you get it

I guess it's a good thing for you that the thirdgen backseats suck, lol. Maybe I'll get my kids a thirdgen if I have any.
You better make sure, thought, that your car's always faster than his Larry. lol

Yeah, my car will be fast than his for a long time. He is 16 and will be 17 in November, he is one year behind in school due to us being in Colombia for some time. I think this will help with the maturity factor. Its a 3.1 L V6 so I dont think there will be too much problem with power overload, Im hoping. Still, its a pretty GD cool car for a 16 year old. I have a VW bus when I was 16. Of course for my time that was pretty cool too, I wish I was into Camaros then, I could have got a one or two year old first then Camaro. Well everthing changes. We will get the car to the gathering somehow.

My siste picked it up in Californian and drove it to Palm Springs where she lives. I will pick it up there later this month. She said it drives and shifts fine. The plastic piece on the windshielf post on the passenger side is missing, and the cup holder on the passenger door, little stuff like that. That should be easy to replace.
