Like we have been doing at the monthly meets, post your guess as to how many thirdgens (cars--not car owners) U think will show up at the August Monthly Meet. U must be in attendence to win. Everybody throws a dollar in the pot and the closest guess wins. All guesses must be posted here in this thread by noon Saturday Aug 13th. In case of a tie, it will be split between the two winners. Since the meet is from 4 pm to 6/7 pm, the official count will be taken at 6 pm.

U can change your guess up until noon Saturday Augist 13thth.

U may want to wait a couple days to see what kind of response there is to the headcount thread, before U post your guess.

Since I am leaving the day before the meet to go on vacation, somebody else will have to do the last minute update of guesses and print out the list so we can determine the winner at Fuddrucker's!

Like I said earlier, I am the eternal optimist, and I always hope for a car count in the teens, but I think U are right on track for how many will show this month. If I was going to be here for this one I would realistically be looking for 12 to 15------but we will see!


So is the SE chapter gonna put together another mini cruise to the monthly?

Gotta be in San Antonio until 2:00 and the wife's company summer party is that evening at 5:00 in Pflugerville. My car is pretty quick but I don't think it's quick enough to make the SA-Houston-P-Ville loop in three hours, let alone with time to visit. Maybe next time. I'd like to see some pictures though.

We used to drag race down the Beltway 8 dead end right at I-45. We had 1/4 mile strip with 1/2 shutdown and a return lane. Was very nice for a long time then they decided to finish the road. *sigh* the old days...

 

There's always next month! Unless we find out about some special event that we want to tie the monthly in with, it will be Sept. 10th (every second Saturday of the month @ 4pm to 6/7 pm)

 

I wish I could go, but I have to go to someones birthday party good news is my car is going to the shop in about three weeks after sitting for three years hopefully it will be ready for the december meet

 

I got a family event at FM 1960 & hwy 6 at 11:30, so not able to join any mini-cruise. I do plan on FuddPuckers at 4:00. Eating out all day!

Shifter isn't back yet, so driving the truck. Zap89, do you still want to borrow the plate for the formula hood? I'll bring it along, plus a camera.

I'll be there, don't know about going onto the cruise.Got my new shifts assigned and I'm working sunday thr thursday for at least the next six weeks.
