The thread about the Sealy drag strip has me thinking --I'm about PAST due for a couple passes down the strip!

ANYBODY ELSE IN THE MOOD???

This weekend or next?

Fri or Sat?

HMP or HRP?

Just not sure if I'm ready for the heat/HOT weather!!!

HHHMMMMMM..............MAYBE NOT!!!

I just looked at both web sites for HMP + HRP.....they both appear to be having BIG show this Sat night, which means really cool is U are going to watch, but NOT cool if U are going to run /test n tune.....long waits if U can get on the track at all!!!

The calendar is down on the HRP site and I can't seem to find the events calender fo HMP.....so I'm not sure what is going on Fri or Sun.

I know with the weather still HOT, me personally I need to go at evening/night or the heat will kick my *** BIG time! (Sucks getting old ), so that kinda eliminates SUN,(for me anyway), and I'm not sure I can make it Fri night.

Maybe somebody that is not on dial up internet can get on both site and see schedules, ETC

Does anyone know what is going on at either track, either weekend?

I need a few more passes, and if some others are going I might be able to bring some decent tires and maybe even drop my Y-Pipe and see what happens.

but I probably can not make it this weekend....

I'm still working on getting a driveshaft made. won't be going to the track this weekend, but I would say chances are VERY good I'll be going next weekend. Most likely HRP, might hit up HMP though.

I don't think that I personally could make it during the day--in the heat--I would probably melt like the wicked witch of the west! And Sun evening is no good for me--family stuff

I think that since both tracks seem to have big meets this weekend and the heat and so-on and so-on and so-on, maybe next weekend might be better if we want to try to get a group together and go out there.

SOMEBODY that has a better internet connection than my dial-up, go to both web sites and see if U can find out what's going on next weekend. Sat night may be the best for all concerned, but check Fri night too!

Hmmm......if both places are having a big 10.5" shootout--sounds like they are splitting the competition up into 2 different places--sounds like 1/2 as good a show as if they were not competing against each other!

Too bad they can't work together instead of aganst each other--would make for better shows at both tracks.

OH WELL--that's life in the big city I guess!!

Id be game for Lonestar in Sealy. I really don't like HMP and would only go there for a big meet or something, especially since sealy is so handy for me. This weekend doesn't sound good with the big shows, that really limits your passes. Maybe in a week or two, especially with the weather cooling a little.
