Just wanted to say "Hi" to everyone here! I'm a longtime 'bird fanatic. I just got rid of my 02 Trans Am and am in the market for a 3rd gen. I've looked around the site and like what I see. I'm going to school in Houston but as of right now I'm stuck in DFW. Anyways, hello to everyone...see you around the boards.

U might try starting with Auto Trader--there are always a few on there--beware of the folk that seem to have a higher opinion than what the market really is, but it's worth a look!

Yea I've been mulling around autotrader for a couple of weeks now...but it seems the prices are (mostly) reflecting sentimental value. Talking to someone is Dallas that might sell...we will see.

People in autotrader almost always want too much for their cars. There was an 90 Iroc completely stock with 99,000 miles for $10,000.

Maybe a wrong link?? Drag car camaro for $15000...but yea I've seen cars similar to what your talking about! I look at nada, kbb, edmunds then at the car. Then back again and like wtf? stock car, never had a problem...whats the additional $3000 for?

I know one thing is certain though - both times when I've looked for good quality GTAs, their value is ALWAYS above kbb or edmund's. I've never found one in the right condition that matched kbb.
Heck I paid about 1000 over kbb when I bought my 87 years ago.

Well if the car is in good condition and it is something that you personally want than I could justify a little more. Most people that have something, like the GTA, are aware of its value. Especially to those of us that have an "Fbody bug".

DOn't know how long you're "stuck in DFW", but you might check us out over at http://www.nttga.net (especially the forums and local classifieds) while you're in town. We have out next monthly gathering on Nov. 12th as well....

Great site will be signing up. Thanks for the link!! I actually live here in DFW (my parents house). I started school in Houston back in August. Came up to escape the hurricane and had to get rid of my car while I was up here. So now I'm stuck till I find another car to get me back down so I can continue with school.

There is a super clean 1989 Formula 350 for sale that looks like it's in mint condition in my girlfriends neighborhood. I can ask her neighbor how much he wants for it if you want?
