The March monthly meet will be 3/18/06 in the SE part of hou area.
Hooter's--Sat 5:30pm
http://hooters.know-where.com/hooter...e=080&address=
If anybody else wants to cruise afterwards, I am thinking the big Sat night cruise-in/show at 2094 + 146--it's as BIG/GOOD a show as any in Hou area!!! About 10 minutes away.

If I recall correctly, we only had 1 or 2 people from that part of town show up last time. Maybe it was a little off the beaten path.
There are a lot of options for restaurants around 45 and Nasa 1. That area is also easy to get too.

I don't think it was YOUR fault...
There were people (like you and me) from pretty far away. I don't know why teh locals didn't show.

Not your fault. SOME people wouldn't show up if the meeting was in their driveway. If people want to participate and make this a success, they'll go. And, like a lot of people have shown, they don't care. We bend over backwards to have meetings on their side of town, and they don't show up. So, those of us that do go, should have it where ever we want. If they want to enjoy the fun, they'll come. Granted, we don't do much at the meeting, but eat, and talk about our cars. At the last meeting, there were only 5 people who showed up, but it was a great time. I'm off the soapbox now.

Is it just me, or do the avitars seem a bit scrambled after the re-host?
I missed the Feb. meeting, but not for lack of effort -- late start, missed the turnoff. By the time I got turned around ya'll were probably off searchin for crusin shows.
Some choices for location:
-- Fuddruckers on NASA 1, across from the back entrance to NASA.
(My preference -- it has very spacious facilities, well suited for group meetings.)
-- Hooters ('nuff said) & Luthers BBQ, on I-45, just south of Nasa 1.

Fudruckers is good, excellent Buffalo burger, Hooters and Dickies Both on the feeder just off of Nasa 1. There is also a Mexican next to Hooters.
Hooters and Dickies have massive car parking there. Also there is a local cruise in that same parking lot on a Wednesday.
Don't know if I'm going to make it as schedule at work screwed up at the moment. Was going to go back to my old schedule with weekends off this week but things have changed.
Also just bought a house in Deer park and will be moving next week.

I think we need to stick to the SE location--would not be fair to those who plan on going--especially if U live in the SE part of town.

OK here's the deal--I am covered up at work--did not have a chance to go look at locations. With no definative suggestion, let's just meet in the Hooter's parking lot around 5:30pm Sat.

Since the board was down more than up this last week, and nobody knew what was going on, (and who knows what will happen in the next few days), the Hou area monthly meet was a non-event.
If there is an interest in rescheduling it for this coming Sat, 3/25/06 -same bat time /same bat channel--Hooter's/5:30pm, please post here.

Busy, busy month.
Missed the non-event, can't make this week either.
I cast a vote for skipping Mar., and continue the rotation with SE for Apr.

I bet Murphy will have an influence on Coz's Z28, and more time will be needed.

The guy who discovered Murphy's Law... It may be a little bit before your time.
Anyway, I will try to make it if we have it. My wife wants to go to Galveston this weekend. I don't know how long we will be down there.
Coz_305, could you pm me directions on the junk yard in pasadena. (At the last monthy meet, I think you indicated you know where a good one is ). I'll be heading that way on beltway 8 headed east from Pearland. I'm looking for a left and a right pair of used goodyear GS-C 245/50 zr16's to go on my original rims. (I got 1 pair at a garage sale for free). They came off of a guys 2000 z28.

Several of the regulars to the monthlys can not make it (including myself) on the 25th. So why don't we just have the April monthly in the SE part of town on the third Sat.
Comments/Suggestions?
Do we want a different location, now that we have time to choose it?

A poll has been added to this thread--vote for your choice of when to have the next monthly.
Note: We can change locations if desired, since we have time to do that now.

I have been pretty busy with work, having my car in the shop, and doing everything for my wedding in July. If I have any free time I will try to come to some of the monthly meets.

So who, if anyone wants to meet tomorrow?
I suppose it would not count as a regular GTG, but I'll probably be doing something...If not on Nasa 1 how about Otto's BBQ on the SW side?
Anyone interested in that?

Well, I can not make it tomorow the 25th. And I also think it is a good idea to not count this one as the SE meet, as a couple of U have stated.
So if U guys want to get together, yall go ahead and figure out when and where.
The next "official" monthly meet will be in the SE-- the third Sat of the month next month/April 15th (tax day!!!) 5:30pm--we will pick a location as time comes closer!

Awesome!!
No conflicts, got it marked in, expect to be there.
Location?
Fuddruckers, and Hooters as before. Also forgot about a new place on the N-bound side of I-45 between NASA-1 & Bay Area -- Vito's Deck House. I personally haven't been there, but I hear it's OK.
