anyone know where i can get a set of vortecs for cheap in the dfw area? like under $300? just wondering, ready to get the smog heads off my car.

 

Well the bad news is if you hit the bone yard 1 outta 5 sets is cracked or cracks when you remove them, the good news is...you can search around machine shops and see if anyone has a set they have abandon(never picked up) you may get lucky, i caught a deal, heads, cam, lifters, gaskets, 4 bolt block, bearings, 383 rotating assembly, balanced, balancer, flex plate, VORTEC heads, intake and comp 9000 distributer, all for 500$, i was very lucky, so start searching, i got the # to a machine shop out here in Conroe, they said they had a set of vortecs for sale with port work, intake studded with guide plates, i think he said 500, not a bad deal, PM me if this peeks your interest and you want the #, i know you will have to pay extra for shipping but hey, not bad...good luck.
