I think you should legally be allowed to shoot somebody for that. I can't imagine the frustration.

Re: Hey yall thought I would share my pain

How does this work for a claim? Assuming you bought underinsurance. Do you have to pay a deductible to get your car fixed (since the other guy has no insurance?).....or is it a free repair to you simply because you had underinsurance?

Re: Hey yall thought I would share my pain

I only had liability so I have to foot the bill. The car is repaired and back on the road but still unpainted. Just black primered nose fenders and hood. I went the other day and bought the paint materials. The materials for painting were $600 I'll try to spray it in the next few weeks.

That sucks, I like the color on that car. Its tragic to see a Z in that shape.

Only one thing seems to come to mind while looking at your car. Usually front end damage is an indication that YOU hit someone (unless it was a head on collision).

I REALLY feel your pain... hit a deer a couple of weeks ago in the 91 Z... I stood there and kicked the dang thing for a good 10 minutes. The kicking a dead horse saying does not apply here.

In a parking lot or what? You must have been traveling at a decent speed as that's no 10mph bump.

Man that blows... I really hate to see one go down and liability is a killer.. :-/ Try and see if you can get some classic insurance for it or something after this is over with.

Re: Hey yall thought I would share my pain

YOu can get that "uninsured motorist" coverage that covers your car when this happens. I don't think it is too expensive.

Could come in handy around here, on the edge of civilization so to speak.

Re: Hey yall thought I would share my pain

Hey man I feel Ur pain. I totaled my 2007 HHR a few months ago when a broad turned in front of me at an intersection. No insurance at all and I was taken to a trauma unit. Talk about sucky no car and a $50,000 dollar hospital bill. Then to top it off she ia actually triing to sue me. I know that sound fed up doesn't it.

Glad you were able to fix it and good luck with the paint.
