Improvised Quick Fixes

Let’s hear some of your best quick fixes or improvised products.

Saw this thread on Reddit on improvised stoves and got me thinking about how amusing the topic is;

Re: Improvised Quick Fixes

I threw a U joint in an old Ford truck about 10 years ago in the middle of nowhere. Luckily, there was a roll of duct tape under the seat. I duct taped the drive shaft to the yolk on the rear...I ended up wrapping it with the whole roll of duct tape and drove it another 25 miles home.

Used my date's pantyhose to replace a broken fan and water pump belt. Twisted it into a braid, wrapped it around the pulley's, tied it off and made it home. She thought it was sexy.

Bottom radiator hose ruptured, so I went to a fast-food joint, luckily there was no locking chuck on the water hose supply, I filled my radiator with water and found the leak, grabbed a work-shirt, tore/wrapped it around the hose, and drove about 10 miles home. Not a drop fell, but it smelled funny
