Austin Tx, 3rd gen virgin intro
So just got my 1991 Camaro yesterday. Been waiting for some time to buy one of these and although it was not the ideal one I wanted (Iroc, 5.7L, 5 speed, t-tops) it comes pretty close and I am very happy with it. It does have a motor swap to the 5.7L 350, and does have a 5 speed, but not T tops and being a 91 well obviously no Iroc. I was also told it was a B4C, although I have yet to dig for that info in the car...Which I need to re-read up on where that is posted again. I think I have to look somewhere in the back near the gas filler??? anyways.
The Paint on the car is about a 10 footer or so, but looks good. I do have some small mods I would like to do to it as well as some customization to the interior as well.
I read there is a group that does get together, but not sure if that is still going on. I am also looking to get a hand going over the car and making any adjustments that may need to be done, or the "you need to do these upgrades". I have started reading in the tech pages on this site about the what to dooos, but havent started.
Let me know if there is anyone interested in swaping some time etc to help me work on my car (mechanically that is) and I can help with you car. I may not have all the best mechanical knowledge on these cars, but I have a small machine shop in my garage that can do a lot of stuff. If there is anyone interested just let me know. I am not in any rush however, and my job also takes up a fair amount of time too.

Welcome to the boards. Glad to have another one among us! Yeah your goal car would be hard to get since they didn't make a T-Top Iroc with the 350/5sp combo. Weird why you couldn't get them that way. Post up some pics of your car, and let us know what your plans are.
Again welcome.

hmm ok so I guess it was only the 305 with manual? anyways no biggie I wont be getting another one anytime soon. Unless something goes super bad with this car I plan on keeping it for a long time, just to add to the eventual stable.
I dont know what my plans are completely, I just know i want to make some updates to the interior and personal touches as well. For example while getting out of the car this morning I looked down in the door frame and remeber from a friends vette they had an illuminated panel there in aluminum or something, looked nice. I may put in an overhead as well, and change up some of center consol too. I can machine metal, and work with molding plastic too so i think the ideas will just come, nothing set in stone yet. I know I dont have any lighting on the inside of the car so that is something that will need to be taken car of first.
Here are a couple of pics of the car.

Stephen thank I just signed up but havent had a chance to surf the site yet but I will. This also may be better suited to be asking over there than here.
Hmm good question. I am look for just overall help with the car, as in these are the things I need to change cause they sucked originally. Basically going over the car mechanically, possibly replacing parts that may need to etc etc. I have done some stuff with motors in the past but VERY little (basic stuff like swap out a starter, brake job things like that). I do know 2 stroke motors but having something like this is over my head somewhat.
Not sure if that really clears it up, but basically looking for someone who really knows this car and help go over the stuff I should fix along with the mechanical side as well.
As I said I have a small machine shop in my garage (my tools are my hobby and I am not a machinist by trade, just someone that likes to make stuff) and can help make a few custom parts for your car in exhance. Lets see I can powder coat small parts, even anodize small parts as well. I do have a lathe and cnc mill too and as long as who ever is interested in helping is patient etc then we can work something out. oh yeah i do have some basic tube bending and sheet metal tools too along with a decent welder...

I can help you out with anything on your car, I've basically rebuilt mine from the ground up while driving it. I can't tell you how many weekends I've had it stripped down to nothing and had to put it all back together so I could drive it to work on Monday.
I'm a sheet metal worker by trade. I've fabbed up several parts for my car that I couldn't find anywhere.
BTW, I'm Eddy on ATGO. It would be nice to have another fabricator in the club. Especially somebody that can do some machining, that's one of the few things I don't have any experience with.
