Re: OFFICIAL SIGN UP THREAD FOR MONTHLY MEET
I will be working on my car this weekend, have had her torn apart for a few months waiting to replace the injectors and all related sensors and gaskets on the intake manifold and above.
Had to get past Christamas before I could start buying parts. Lol
Looking forward to making many of the meets this year!! Will be looking for local car shows in the area as well!
Hoping to make next month!

Also, please leave the guns and ammo at home. Anyone discovered with them in their possession will be asked to leave...first nicely by us, and then not as nicely by HPD.

Re: OFFICIAL SIGN UP THREAD FOR MONTHLY MEET
Relax, Mav75. Just a joke & btw all my guns are registered and I am allowed to carry it by law. In-fact I take it with me everywhere I go, especially if I am in the Camaro. To much crap going on in todays society not to be prepared.
This will be a friendly meet, no need to go wild west unless someone pulls up in a mustang....haha just kidding again. Lighten up buddy, just shooting the sh*t.

Re: OFFICIAL SIGN UP THREAD FOR MONTHLY MEET
In mav's defence, a lot of guns only have 1 purpose in life, to kill another human being. So with good reason, you gotta expect people to be wary of them. That said, I am really wanting a 10mm S&W 1026. They just cost nearly 1k, and I have 3 project cars that all come first, which is why I don't yet own one.
Currently we are expecting 9 cars. Hopefully we can beat the normal 50% turnout rate.

Re: OFFICIAL SIGN UP THREAD FOR MONTHLY MEET
a lot of guns is not to kill someone else at all. they are for preference and to survive if necessary. every one has a right to defend themselves. to say they are to kill is the same opinion that keeps our government trying to take them away.

Re: OFFICIAL SIGN UP THREAD FOR MONTHLY MEET
I'm tempted to give my $0.02 on the subject. Instead all I'll say is I used to have a CHL and hope to again when I don't have small children in the house.
But this is not the place for that discussion. If some one wants to start a "Gun" thread by all means go ahead. But please try to keep this one on topic.

Re: OFFICIAL SIGN UP THREAD FOR MONTHLY MEET
Crap, the forecast said rain for sat the last time I checked. Whats the plan if it does? Meet anyways and enjoy the food?
AS far as the gun thing goes I'm sorry I ever brought it up! I want to appoligize to anyone I offended.
Hey where did bandit run off to & hide? His Iroc is superclean and I would not mind getting another chance to check it out....

This is rediculous. I have 4 cars. 4!!! And I had to catch a ride to work this morning. Looks like once again I'm not gonna make it. Had my kids all hyped up about going too. Maybe I can work out the electrical gremlins in my DD in time to go. Doubtful.

Re: OFFICIAL SIGN UP THREAD FOR MONTHLY MEET
The standard procedure for rain is to reschedule until the following Saturday. If the forecast is threatening but there's no rain, we'd probably discuss it a few hours before the meet and vote on whether to reschedule.
Yeah, there's no change in the forecast. My only dilemma is whether or not I'm going to take the t-tops off

I'll be there for sure, if there's any real chance of rain I'll be in the truck - no hood on the Camaro and I don't plan on EVER plan driving this thing in the rain again.
On that note I'm trying to work on the tune a bit, if anyone knows WTF they are doing and wants to help in the morning I could use it LOL

I have talked to orr quite a bit about tuning, he has been a great help and once I get the hardware/software sorted out I should not have too much of a problem actually tuning the car! I need help hooking everything up and making sure I'm running the software properly really, there are few complete "how to"s online unfortunately. I will just pop my intake charge pipe off and run with a filter on the TB to get there tomorrow if I have to LOL I'll hook it back up so it looks like it's turbo'd sitting there!

So, did anyone make it to the drag strip tonight?
I didn't.
But I'm looking forward to seeing some time slips.

isnt it nice when young people post 1/8 mile times that a pro stock runs just to run up post count and cloud a thread about a meet for no reason.

Re: OFFICIAL SIGN UP THREAD FOR MONTHLY MEET
I would have been a little p'ed if I drove the 60 miles out there and didn't find anyone I knew. Well, if I got the time slip I think I would, I would just have gotten my revenge tomorrow being a sore winner. Of course, there is always the chance that I would have broken something (30%?) and not made it to the meet at all.
I ended up replacing my ugly spark plugs and a burned out plug wire. Hopefully it will have some effect on my off idle cough.
I went for a test drive earlier this week. Now that I have both fuel pumps working the power felt better than ever! But it was still coughing and sputtering off idle.

Re: OFFICIAL SIGN UP THREAD FOR MONTHLY MEET
did you ever switch out to the new injector system?
or replace the injectors with the newer ones in the old system?
do you have to run shorter plugs cause of your headers or are you able to run regular plugs.

Re: OFFICIAL SIGN UP THREAD FOR MONTHLY MEET
The new system is still a relatively distant plan. I did get my old injectors cleaned, but in the process I found a bad injector connector that was the true root of my injection issues.
So I have about 400 lbs/hour of clean injectors firing properly now. My fuel pressure goes up about 50% at idle when the second pump is on and floods the motor. But when used with the window switch, at over 3000 and full throttle it really seems to help. I think I am finally delivering enough fuel to make the motor happy.
This week I did hook up a low fuel pressure light, a 2nd fuel pump activated light and a shift light. So I've been keeping busy.

Re: OFFICIAL SIGN UP THREAD FOR MONTHLY MEET
My timing is Suedo static. I'm using a small cap HEI without a computer. A little known fact is that it adds 8 degrees at 2500rpm. When I first switched to it and assumed that it did not modify the timing I had difficulties (44 degrees of difficulty). Now that I know how it works I'm pretty happy with it. But if I could disable the 8 degrees at 2500 RPM I would. I really need full timing at idle due to my valve overlap..
